Hello, my name is Moon, and I hope you bear with me, I’ve never had to dictate an adoption profile before, but the Cheery volunteer has promised to help me out so here it goes!

I guess some background information first? Cheery Cat Rescue was contacted about me and my ‘sister’ after a concerned citizen took us in. Upon examination the vet wasn’t so sure we were siblings given that she was half my age, but cat colony family trees can get a little complicated, so who’s to say really? Regardless, Ming went on to the Cheery Cat Palace and Adoption Lounge, but I was a little more nervous and so stayed with my foster.

It can take me a little while to get used to new situations and people. I know my big cheeks must make me look really tough, but I’m a softie, outside and in. When I first came into care I did my best to hide, but once I learned that my foster was there to help I made sure to let him know how much I appreciate it. They call me ‘chatty’ but I think it’s important to show gratitude whenever possible and I will gladly follow you around the house to let you know how much I appreciate you.

I love to hang out, if you’re lounging then I’m lounging. But, like, a little bit away. I would hate to impose… you know how it is. I want to be sure to respect your space, even if the pets are nice, and your lap looks so inviting… maybe we could work on that.

I’m a big lad, but you should see how fast I go when I really get to zooming! I can still play with the best of them and I would love to show off my moves! A house with another young cat would be an excellent choice so we can play together, but with a person as committed to playtime as I am, I could be convinced to settle down solo. I haven’t had a ton of experience with children but I have heard that they can be taught to be polite and gentle so I could see that being alright. Dogs I’m really not sure about, but if we take it slow I could see myself adapting well to a well behaved pooch or two.

Currently, I am eating Ziwi Peak dryfood and Fancy Feast wet, but I have no known tummy troubles and so I could see changing that in the future. A nice slow change and some probiotic to keep things steady would be the ideal situation for me, I think.

I guess that’s everything, at least that’s everything I can think of immediately. I’ll ponder it a while longer and if you apply, I will make sure to update you when we meet!
