Hi! I’m April. Like the month, except I don’t vacillate between warm and cool. I’m proudly a friendly, playful girl regardless of the season.
I came to CCR from a house with a lot of cats. Like SO many. I’m not really a math girlie, but there was at least 10 of us there (Editor’s note, it was more than 40. We were very busy). Anywho, I was so excited when CCR came and scooped us up! We got to go to the vet and they were SO nice there; turns out there’s more to life than being a mum
It’s taken me a little bit longer than average to warm up to life in the Palace, I was a little nervous to suddenly be around so many cats again after the peaceful time with my foster. I am coming around to the benefits of having friends to play with and plenty of people to cuddle with, but I confess I am looking forward to a home with a little more stability and a little less traffic. A cozy perch to watch the snow fall and loving people to watch it with.
As I said, I came from a house with a lot of cats so I definitely know to mind my P’s and Q’s, but I would appreciate your help in making it a slow and careful introduction; too much too fast and I get flashbacks of my early days and can be a little hissy. That said, I’m not adverse to a little chaos. I like to watch before I get involved, but definitely want to be included. When I get going I can push boundaries a little bit so I absolutely need a partner in crime, and would probably be a bit too much for a senior cat to handle solo. I wasn’t raised with dogs, but I’m sure I could handle almost anything with you by my side. Even kids, if it comes to it, ideally respectful and cat-savvy, but I’m a patient young lady so we can probably teach them together if it comes to in.
Currently, I am eating Ziwi Peak Dry and Orjien wet and have been doing quite well on the diet. I’m open to changing it up if we go slow and it would definitely be nice to have a probiotic in the mix. Otherwise, I have no dietary issues or restrictions.
