The refreshing start to a lifetime of wonderful days, Dew Spring, at your service. I’ve got a rescue volunteer here to help me type this out; unfortunately, even a ‘Can-DEW’ attitude can’t make up for a lack of thumbs. I’ll have them insert an excerpt from my attempt here:

Dew Spring, July 9, 2026

(Editor’s note, this continued for 3 pages)

What I was getting at, of course, is the need to embrace the inherent ephemerality of the moment as meaningful itself; the point, not the thing we run from. Indeed…. Oh, do pardon me a moment, I must DASH from room to room!!

(Editor’s note, She did. And then she wrestled… For a while. I folded some towels while I waited)

Sorry, did you need something? Interv… Ah. Yes. Sorry, I had to get my laps in! And then I saw someone running! And then I had to chase them! And then I had to bite the… Anyway. I love cats, and definitely need a young friend (or two) to play with. But I could certainly handle an older cat in the house as well, I try to be (mostly) respectful of my elders. I’m  also pretty good with kids and LOVE if they are fast enough to keep up.

…I have been known to attack feet. BUT ONLY SOMETIMES!

I’m currently in the Palace so you are very welcome to come visit. I’d also love it if you came to take me home, but no pressure. I’m doing really well. You may have heard about the Spring House? 40 cats in it? That was going to be my life before Cheery Rescue stepped in. I’m doing pretty well and the Palace is not a bad place to wait.

Well howdy! I guess it’s time for an update, I’ve been in Cheery Cat Rescue’s care for almost 6 months now and honestly I’m a whole new cat! (Editor’s note, she’s not. She’s just a little bigger.) I am a bold, adventurous, and cuddly young lady. I love making new friends, running on the cat wheel (Gotta go FAST!), and just hanging out with my favorite people.

My sister Ladybug and I were the first cats taken in by CCR all those months ago and when we first arrived in Cheery Palace they considered us to be a bonded pair… but we had never met any other cats yet! Once we got to know our new roommates we both realized that friends are basically just siblings you choose! Over time and with a lot of observation and debate, the rescue volunteers realized that as cute as a matching set of sisters is, either of us would do just fine in any home with some friendly cats to play and cuddle with. She’s off to a new home soon. I’m proud of her, but I’d like to be able to tell her about my new place before she goes; I’d hate her to be worried!

I landed in the care of CCR as an owner surrender; I was almost a rough and tumble ranch girlie! Imagine that partner! Ropin’. ridin’, droppin’ ‘g’s from the end of words; oh, what could have been! I’ve definitely kept that country hospitality; I’m great with other cats and make quick friends with everyone I meet. I definitely need another young buckaroo in the house though, I’d be too much for an older cat to deal with on their own. I am excellent with children and have been doing well with all of the hustle and bustle of Palace life. I’ve never met a doggy, little or otherwise, but I’m generally willing to make friends with anyone, so I can’t imagine it being too much of a bother.

‘Round the Palace we tuck in on Acana dry and Orijen wet, but your girl isn’t a brand snob. I’ve got a cast iron gullet and no food sensitivities so I am down to change it up if you need. A nice slow transition would help keep the trail smooth.

Listen, I’ve been at the Palace for a long time now, and it’s been wonderful, but I’ve seen my share of friends head off home and I’m ready for my turn. If you’ve got space for a lovebug, I’ve got a cuddle with your name on it.. partner?
