My name is Cheese Sandwich and I look like this. I am exactly the cat you think I am.

I have been described as a ‘sweet boy’ and this is true. I have also been described as a chaotic little gremlin who loves to play and doesn’t understand boundaries. This is also true. There’s not a lot of cats that can keep up with me so it is imperative that you have another young cat at home who doesn’t mind a little (a LOT) of roughhousing. I will tell you up front that I would not be a good fit for a house with a senior cat just trying to live out their twilight years. If you are looking for a recommendation from the current roster of Cheery Palace cats, my brother Reuben has been putting up with my nonsense from the day I was born.

Speaking of family, I came into the care of Cheery Cat Rescue as an owner surrender with the other Sandwiches. Everyone except Reuben and I have found their picnics, but while I think it would be really swell if we found our forever home together, I am not adverse to starting this chapter without him.

I’m not a big snuggler, but I am happy to sit with you on the couch after a long day, especially if you’re up for some play. Relief through distraction is my motto, I promise our time together will never have a dull moment. I do very well with playful kids and honestly, I think having a young person to grow up with would be an incredible experience. But frankly, anyone willing to have an absolutely wonderful time are my kind of people.
